Well here it is- my first blog post ever. I was originally interested in taking EDHI 9040 to earn the Certificate in University Teaching. However, as my grad date (hopefully!) draws ever nearer, I've decided to scrap that option in favor of writing my thesis, staying on top of my writing intensive TA duties, & GRADUATING! I decided to take EDHI 9040 anyway to find out what's out there in terms of educational technology and to learn more about how technology can be applied in the classroom. Plus, I think that another 3 hours of educational credits will suffice to renew my teaching certificate, which is important since ultimately I think I'd like to get back into teaching, although maybe not at the college level (definitely not at the research institution level).

As for blogging, I suppose I've always assumed that it is for people who like to talk about themselves or (and?) who have something interesting to say. I don't think I've ever actually read a blog, so I apologize if I'm stepping on any toes.
